Titanomechia

Titanomechia is a Minecraft 1.21.3 map that won 1# place in the first edition of the official Minecraft Realms MapJam. Your short term goal is simple, explore abandoned and broken ship vessels for scraps, food and fuel. In the long run you should try and reach Atlas Alpha, humanity's biggest spaceship supposed to save us. Spoiler ! it's impossible...

We had 5 days to do everything. From finding the idea to even the smallest of easter egg and squashing all the bugs. This was a real test of endurance and efficiency. In the end we won 1st place twice ! Once for judge vote and another for the Community vote. Our Judge 1st place was one 10 points away from a perfect score.

After the jam was over we upgraded and updated the map to a newer version of the game. During this we added Bibo ! A friendly bot that guides you through understanding the basics of the game. After 5 months of work the map finally released.

It was upon release promoted onto the official Minecraft website along with the other Jam winners. With it we also released the trailer for it which was a ton of fun to put together.

In 2025 it was then retroactively awarded the "Best map of 2024" award at the Map Maker Awards !

Who knows... Maybe one day there might be more to this story...
